Pitching Frenzy at Pitch for Pizza 2024

Pitch for Pizza 2024

On September 18, 2024, undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff gathered to pitch their ideas and get inspired by the pitch of other participants! Usdan International Lounge was filled to the brim with aspiring entrepreneurs who are looking to share their ideas and get feedback from experts. The panel consisted of Sam Aronson, Alumni and Previous Spark Program participant Sam Aronson of Tree for the Taking, and the Spark team—Juan Giraldo, Fern Shamis, Gianna Saludo, and Kapil Naidu.

As the event came to an end, Juan gave his parting words. In his words, “Do not be afraid to share your ideas. After all, ideas are worth nothing. It is the execution that makes it worth something.” After all the pitching, participants gathered to network while eating pizza!

Pitch for Pizza is the one of the last events in the Brandeis Innovation fall programming calendar, as it builds up to the new cycle of the Spark Program. Brandeis Innovation will hold two more events as a precursor to the Spark Program, an in-person Spark Program Info Session and a virtual Spark Program Info Session. Under the program, Spark funding is available for the most promising projects, with the funding amount determined by the scope of the project and disbursed based on milestone achievements. Applications are open and Interested students, faculty, and staff can apply and register through this link: bit.ly/SparkApplication2024.
