DEI Faculty Fellowships
Join a faculty learning community in which we support and inspire one another to teach our students with compassion, empathy, and curiosity.
In collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Education and Learning Initiatives (ODEI Education), the CTL is excited to offer a new, year-long DEI Faculty Fellowship program. The program is designed to support faculty interested in rethinking their courses and teaching strategies using an inclusive, student-centered framework.
The year-long program includes 16 total hours of programming, consisting of two main components:
- a series of workshops over the summer focusing on equitable and inclusive pedagogies (8 hrs total); and
- six monthly cohort meetings throughout the school year for support, inspiration, collaboration, and feedback (8 hrs total).
This year-long DEI Faculty Fellowship will focus on supporting faculty to develop and implement inclusive teaching strategies and assignments in their courses. Each DEI Faculty Fellow will be able to develop their own projects and focus in an area of their interest. Workshops and cohort meetings will be collaboratively co-led by the CTL and DDEI.
The program is open to any full-time faculty members, teaching on a multi-year contract or tenured/tenure-track. In addition to getting to work with a supportive learning community of engaged colleagues, participating faculty will receive:
- a $500 honorarium;
- a “DEI Faculty Fellow” microcredential for your CV; and
- certification from the CTL and DDEI attesting to your commitment to inclusive educational excellence.
This program is generously funded by the Presidential Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Mini-Grant Fund. For more information, please email Marty.
