1975

Women's Studies at Brandeis began with a single course offering.

1978

Undergraduate minor in Women’s Studies was established.

1992

Graduate program began by offering a joint MA with departments across disciplines.

2003

Undergraduate major was established

2005

Program’s name changed from Women’s Studies to Women’s and Gender Studies

2010

Stand-alone MA program offered.

2011

Sexuality and Queer Studies Minor offered.

2014

Program changed name to Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

Today, our curriculum is composed of exciting interdisciplinary courses taught by faculty from across disciplines.
