Holiday Gift Guide 2022
The 8th Annual Brandeis Innovation Showcase Was a Success
The annual Brandeis Innovation Showcase has become a much-anticipated event and serves to showcase the amazing ideas, accomplishments, and entrepreneurial initiatives of students, faculty, and staff in the Brandeis community. "This event was so inspiring and energizing," said Brandeis Associate Provost for Innovation, Rebecca Menapace. "The projects presented at the Showcase are a testament to the creativity and interdisciplinary mindset of our community."
At the 8th annual showcase, which took place on November 17, participants in Brandeis Innovation’s Spark, Sprout and I-Corps programs presented posters with a wide range of topics including biotech, sustainability, functional foods, consumer goods and high tech. Over one hundred attendees voted for their favorite projects with the top 3 prizes going to Missionable (a digital platform connecting mission driven institutions to donors using unique digital tokens), Tenant2Tenant (an off-campus housing resource for international students), and a novel water purification technology using nano-pourous reusable materials. Attendees were also able to learn more about Brandeis Innovation partners.
The holidays are almost here. More of us are shopping locally to support small businesses, reduce our carbon footprints, and make gift-giving meaningful. This year, several Brandeis innovators have products on the market that would make great gifts. So, we are pleased to present the Brandeis Innovation Holiday Gift Guide. Check out these gifts from Brandeis innovators!

Do you have an idea for a business, social enterprise, app, or creative project? Participate this year in a unique extracurricular activity: the Spark program. Every year, the Brandeis Innovation Virtual Accelerator prepares Brandeis teams to create startups and social impact projects that have a strong chance of becoming successful. Winning teams will be selected to participate in the spring semester accelerator program consisting of entrepreneurship education, pitch training and networking.
The program culminates with SparkTank, a Pitch/Demo Day in the spring where teams compete to receive up to $5,000 in seed funding. Spark offers aspiring change-makers at Brandeis the support they need to turn their vision into reality. Through Spark, Brandeis innovators will work on exploring the viability of their research and ideas while building the basis of what can come to be game-changing solutions.
