Express Mail Instructions
The Office of the University Registrar sends all documents via U.S. Postal Service first class mail.
For expedited mail service, requesters are expected to provide pre-paid shipping labels. Our preferred carrier is UPS. Requesters can use FedEx or DHL, however a pick up must be scheduled and coordinated with the registrar's office (registrar@brandeis.edu).

Instructions for UPS Shipment (Preferred Method)
To request expedited mailing of your documents, we require that you supply us with a UPS shipping label. Please follow the instructions below:
- Visit www.ups.com. Under Shipping, select “Create a Shipment: Package & Freight” for domestic and international shipments. For international shipping, you must create an account.
- If you are a registered UPS.com user, then log in. If not, select Register Now and create a User ID account, with a credit card. You can also select the option “Ship as a Guest” for a single-time credit card shipment. Select “next” at the bottom of the page. Answer the application questions to determine which account fits your specific needs.
- Fill out the information on the form pages presented. This will include:
- Where are you shipping from? Provide the Brandeis University address and phone number:

Telephone: 781-736-2010 - Where is your shipment going? Provide address to which you are shipping.
- What kind of packaging are you using? Select UPS letter; for weight, enter 0.7 lbs.
- How would you like to ship? Choose “I’ll drop off my shipment or include it in another pickup,” then select date and time for it to be delivered.
- What are you shipping? Enter contents you are shipping.
- How would you like to pay? Choose “Payment Card” and then enter credit card details.
- Review: Review to ensure all information is correct, then check the “Terms and Conditions” box and click “Pay and Get Label(s).”

Instructions for FedEx Shipment
To request expedited mailing of your documents, we require that you supply us with a Federal Express shipping label. Please follow the instructions below:
- Visit www.fedex.com. For domestic shipping, follow the path Shipping > Create a Shipment from the menu at the top of the homepage. For international shipping, follow the path Shipping > International Shipping Guide.
- If you are a registered fedex.com user, then log in. If not, click the link “Create a User ID for Shipping with a credit card” or “Create a one-time credit card shipment,” depending on whether you wish to create an account or proceed as a guest.
- Fill out the information on the form pages presented. This will include:
- Address Information: Under “From Address,” provide the Brandeis University address and phone number (listed below). Under “To Address,” provide the address to which you are shipping.

Telephone: 781-736-2010 - Shipment Details, Part 1: Select either “FedEx One Rate” or “FedEx Standard Rates.” If you choose the latter, enter “0.7” under “Package Weight.” Then select the type of package you need, most likely the FedEx Envelope.
- Shipment Details, Part 2: Select a delivery date, time and rate.
- Payment: Complete all billing details, including credit card and billing information.
- Confirmation: Review to ensure all information is correct, then click “Ship.”
