Thursday, Jan. 10 - Monday, Jan. 28 Registration period for graduate and undergraduate students.
Thursday, Jan. 10 New students arrive on campus; residence halls open for new students only.
Sunday, Jan. 13 Residence halls open for returning students.
Monday, Jan. 14 First day of instruction.
Monday, Jan. 21 Martin Luther King Jr. Day: No university exercises, staff holiday.
Monday, Jan. 28 Last day to add classes. All work for fall term 2012 undergraduate incompletes due to instructors. Last day for seniors graduating in May to declare or drop a major or minor.
Monday, Feb. 4 Last day for undergraduates to elect a pass/fail option for the current term and to request a "P" grade for the preceding term. Grades replacing fall 2012 undergraduate incompletes due.
Monday, Feb. 11 Last day to drop or change grading option of Module I courses to audit (instructor’s and chair’s permission required).
Monday, Feb. 18 Presidents Day: Staff holiday.
Monday, Feb. 18 - Friday, Feb. 22 Midterm recess: No university exercises.
Monday, March 4 Last day for undergraduates to drop courses without a "W" transcript notation (instructor's permission required).
Friday, March 8 Undergraduate midterm grades due.
Monday, March 18 Spring Module I grades due.
Friday, March 22 Last day to add Module II courses.
Monday, March 25 - Tuesday, April 2 Passover and spring recess: No university exercises.
Wednesday, April 3 Brandeis Monday: Monday class schedule in effect.
Wednesday, April 10 Grades replacing graduate incompletes from fall term 2012 due.
Wednesday, April 10 Last day for undergraduates to drop courses with a "W" transcript notation (instructor's permission required). Last day for graduate students to drop courses or change grading basis to audit (instructor's and chair's permission required).
Monday, April 15 Patriots Day: Classes in session, staff holiday.
Tuesday, April 16 - Monday, April 22 Registration period for fall term 2013.
Wednesday, April 17 Last day to drop or change grading option of Module II courses to audit (instructor's and chair's permission required).
Wednesday, May 1 Last day of instruction. Last day to voluntarily withdraw from the term (written notification required).
Thursday, May 2 Study day.
Friday, May 3 - Friday, May 10 Final examination period.
Monday, May 6 Senior grades for all courses without final exams due by 10 a.m. Senior and all graduate degree recipient grades for all courses with final exams due by 10 a.m. on the third day after the examination, and in no case later than Sunday, May 12, at 3 p.m.
Wednesday, May 8 Grades for courses without final exams due for all graduate degree candidates.
Saturday, May 11, at noon Residence halls close for undergraduates.
Monday, May 13 Last day for graduating seniors to convert current term pass/fail enrollments to a "P."
Tuesday, May 14 Department degree meetings.
Friday, May 17, at 9 a.m. Faculty meeting.
Sunday, May 19 Commencement.
Monday, May 20, at noon Residence halls close for all students.
Tuesday, May 21 All other spring term grades due.
Monday, May 27 Memorial Day: Staff holiday.
