Brandeis Counseling Center meets the developmental, emotional and mental health needs of all students of the university, including graduate students. It is a multicultural treatment center committed to the values of diversity and inclusivity. The BCC offers both individual and group counseling options for graduate students and can facilitate connections with mental health services in the greater Waltham community. Here are a few updates regarding their programming for graduate students in particular:
They have expanded and made changes to their groups in an effort to meet the needs of graduate students; some groups are limited to graduate students only.
They are confidential -- no one will know that you have seen them unless you sign a release of information.
They do not have session limits at the counseling center. Each student is treated uniquely and they work together with students to develop treatment plans. They typically offer short-term individual therapy and therapy groups focused on a range of topics. For students seeking long-term care, they have a database to help students locate the right care in the community.
