Hallo! My name is Jonathan Schaffer! I grew up in Los Angeles and Las Vegas and have lived all over the United States and Israel since then. I received my bachelor's in psychology, as well as minors in women's and gender studies and ethnic studies, at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and my master's in student affairs at Rutgers University New Brunswick. At Rutgers, I was the graduate program coordinator at the Center for Social Justice Education and LGBT Communities. While living in Israel, I was the Research and Development Fellow for Israel-Diaspora Projects for the Ministry of Education and an English language educator in Tel Aviv, focusing on providing high quality, culturally impactful English education to students from low socioeconomic backgrounds. In my free time, I love to play video games, watch scary movies and read anything and everything I can get my hands on (I am almost always carrying a book on my person, so feel free to ask me about what I'm reading today).
