Class of 2024
Our 2024 graduates began their college journey under unique circumstances, navigating the challenges of starting college at the height of the pandemic. They quickly adapted, pursuing virtual opportunities before finally engaging in in-person experiential learning. Now, they have entered a job market still adjusting to evolving conditions, including shifts in work environments and fluctuations in hiring.
These students have demonstrated resilience as employers seek graduates with strengths in adaptability, problem-solving, data analysis, communication, teamwork, and emotional intelligence.
Finding Jobs

How the class of 2024 found their opportunities: 
- Networking: The top way students find opportunities is through networking, including direct outreach to webs of connections from past supervisors, alumni, and personal relationships. Students also utilize LinkedIn to find new contacts and opportunities for which to apply.
- Applying Online: Students apply directly on companies' career pages and use a variety of online job boards, from general to industry-specific sites.
- Brandeis Connections: Career fairs, Handshake, department newsletters, student groups, and networking with faculty and alumni play a large part in students learning about opportunities and applying.
- Previous Internships: Return offers to students account for many full-time jobs across different industries including tech, banking, healthcare and human, services.
Job offers come at different times of the year depending on industry and when students start looking. Some industries recruit early, but most students receive offers in March and April or August.

- Academics: Brandeis provided the class of 2024 with foundational knowledge, communication skills, and time management. Students also called out specific degrees (e.g., Biology, Computer Science, Psychology) for their direct relevance to career readiness.
- Experiential Learning: Internships, lab work, and research opportunities were critical in developing practical skills, such as problem-solving, coding, and hands-on scientific techniques. On-campus jobs and clubs also contributed to students' professional growth.
- Skill Development: The class of 2024 frequently mentioned the importance of leadership, teamwork, communication, and adaptability, cultivated through clubs, athletics, and on-campus jobs.
