Career Team
The Career Team helps Brandeisians discover who they are, what they want, and how to get there. Students and alumni explore career hubs, resources around industries, and affinities, with members of the career team to find individualized career support. Our team includes professional staff, graduate assistants and undergraduate peer advisors. Review team members below to discover more about our staff, meet with any of us!
Event Support
Hiatt helps student groups with professional development, networking, and skill-building activities. Connect with our staff for event brainstorming and support through a Club Support appointment in Handshake. If you have a specific date and event in mind, fill out the request form with event details. Please provide at least two weeks' notice before the event date.
Professional Staff
Meet with us for 30 or 60 minutes on topics ranging from exploring majors and career interests, reviewing application materials, internship and job searching, networking, interviewing, and graduate school or law school planning/applications. If you are working with Hiatt for the first time, set up a 30-minute appointment or call our front desk to find the best person to help you get started.
Dan believes college can be anything you want it to be. Dan’s door is always open to hear about your successes, help talk through an obstacle, or get your take on a recent movie or game.
Lauren enjoys working with students to strengthen skills and empower them to move forward. Part of Lauren’s enthusiasm stems from her shared experience as a fellow Brandeisian.
Sandra strives to help people create order and action from confusion while leveraging the strength of past experiences.
Calvin is passionate about helping students and alumni find their way through their career paths, balancing passions with practical needs and external pressures. Drawing on his own journey through various career shifts, Calvin is dedicated to helping you gain clarity and confidence in your next move.
Xiaoyi seeks to empower every student to turn their passions into a career, and her door is always open to hear about your latest food obsession or favorite Boston restaurant.
Health & Science Career Coach (Graduate Assistant)
The Health & Science Career Coach GA offers career support to undergraduate students with an interest in healthcare and science. In one-on-one sessions, students may discuss career topics including: industry and career research, the internship/job search process, reviewing application material, interview preparation, and applying to graduate school. Select "Health & Science Coach: 30-Minute Meeting" in Handshake when making a new appointment.Sheila is eager to work alongside students to explore career paths in healthcare and science research. She believes fostering curiosity and self-discovery is necessary to help students explore their interests and find their place in these vital fields.
Business Career Coach (Graduate Assistant)
The Business Career Coach GA offers career support to undergraduate students with an interest in Business, Consulting, and Finance career paths. In one-on-one sessions, students may discuss career topics including: industry and career research, the internship/job search process, reviewing application material, interview preparation, and applying to graduate school. As a Business Finance and Consulting Career Coach, Hardik aims to mentor and guide students, providing tailored support to help them successfully transition into their desired careers.
Student Career Staff (Hiatt Advisors)
Hiatt advisors (HAs) meet with current students for 20-minute HA Express Appointments. These brief meetings are more focused on quick questions and resume or cover letter reviews. HAs also assist with campus-wide Hiatt programming, promote career development events and serve as liaisons between students and Hiatt.
