Full-Time Enrollment Requirements
All international students are required to be enrolled full-time (12 credits) to maintain status unless they are in their final semester.
F-1 Students
Students in F-1 must be enrolled full-time each semester except in their final semester. Students may enroll in only one online class counting towards their full-time enrollment each semester. Other courses used to meet full-time enrollment status must be either in-person or hybrid. Students in their final term must be enrolled in at least one in-person or hybrid course.
J-1 Students
Students in J-1 status must be enrolled full-time each semester. The
US Department of State has directed its sponsors to permit students to enroll in a maximum of one online course per semester. Virtual components to in-person courses are permitted, as are hybrid classes that predominantly require in-person student attendance would be considered in-person courses
EXCEPTIONS TO FULL-TIME ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS
