HBI Research Associate Ornit Barkai has recently completed the feature length documentary Laid to Rest: Buried Stories of the Jewish Sex Trade (LTR) concerning the Jewish sex trade in late 19th and early 20th century Argentina. She seeks an intern to develop a comprehensive database of historic, previously published pioneering scholarly research on an often overlooked aspect of Jewish community history in Argentina. Drawing upon research conducted during the pre-production phase of the LTR film, the project will meticulously organize and compile data from existing materials, including bibliography, archival sources and transcribed interviews used in the film, as well as additional materials that were omitted from the final film's storyline. The primary objective of this initiative is to establish a valuable resource to facilitate potential academic inquiries into this significant topic, potentially leading to the creation of a scholarly paper.Profile of Appropriate Candidate
