Graduate students who need academic support can always turn to Jessica Basile, assistant dean of graduate affairs, who can either help directly, or point you to the right resource. Generally speaking, if you're having an academic issue, it is best to first speak with your professor and/or your adviser. If that doesn't help, or isn't possible, you can turn to the director of graduate studies (DGS), the program director or chair of the department. If that doesn't help or isn't possible:

Often, the faculty in your program or the specific faculty member you are teaching with can be very helpful in your pedagogical learning. If this is not the case, CTL is a great resource. If you are experiencing difficulties with the faculty you are working with, you can talk with director of graduate studies (DGS), your program director, your advisor, or with Jessica Basile, assistant dean of graduate affairs.
