Profile
Megan works with everyone and anyone who’s thinking about the next steps, career transitions, or wondering how to get started. She is very familiar with the feelings of uncertainty that may come when you think about your future. She’s tried on many different careers and jobs prior to her current one and knows how overwhelming it can be to figure out what might come next. She enjoys working with all people and has a special affinity for folx who identify as first-generation, low-income, LGBTQIA+, or those who anticipate challenges as they transition between jobs or into a job.
Prior to joining the Hiatt Career Center, Megan completed her Master’s degree in Higher Education from Harvard University and was the graduate assistant in the Office of Academic Policy at Harvard College. She’s also managed scholarship programs, worked in retail management, as a college coach, and as a paramedic.
In her free time, Megan loves to kayak, read, binge-watch shows on Netflix and Hulu, and putz around the kitchen. She’s constantly trying new crafts and is excited to have time to get back into stained glass. She is new to the Boston area and is thrilled to have a new city to explore.
Megan’s first seven jobs include:
- Babysitter
- Caterer
- Chocolate Shop Assistant
- Server
- Coffee Shop Manager
- Ghost Tour Guide
- Receptionist at Hostel
