Administrative Announcements for the Hiatt Career Center

Jon Schlesinger and Andrea Dine

On behalf of Raymond Lu Ming Ou, vice president of Student Affairs:

I am pleased to announce that Andrea Dine has moved into an expanded leadership role as assistant vice president of Student Affairs. Her responsibilities include managing divisional finance, personnel processes and technology. Offices reporting to Andrea include the Health Center, Health and Wellness Promotion, the Brandeis Counseling Center, the Prevention, Advocacy & Resource Center (PARC) and the Hiatt Career Center. I am thrilled to have Andrea join the Office of the VPSA and look forward to working closely with her on our divisional initiatives.

Andrea has worked at Brandeis for over 12 years in a variety of roles, most recently as executive director of the Hiatt Career Center. In addition to her career center experience, Andrea has worked in diverse student affairs areas including residential life, student activities, orientation and the women's center. She also has served as an adjunct instructor at two Research I universities.

In addition, I am delighted to share that Jon Schlesinger has agreed to serve as the interim director of Hiatt and Career Development. In addition to career development and Hiatt operations, he oversees employer relations, alumni engagement and marketing. Hiatt has won two national awards during Jon’s five years as director of career development, including the NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers) Career Services Excellence Award in 2020.
