Hafsah Abubakar (she/her) is a Junior majoring in Biology and Chemistry at Brandeis University. She was born and raised in Kumasi, Ghana, and is an international and first-generation college student. On campus, Hafsah serves on the genONE Advisory Board, where she supports first-generation students and helps build community. She works at the Student Academic Services front desk, assisting students with academic questions and connecting them to campus resources. She is also a research assistant in the Griffith Lab, where she is gaining hands-on experience in scientific research. Hafsah previously served as an International Representative (IREP) for the 2025–2026 academic year and will serve as the Brandeis Muslim Students Association (BMSA) President in the upcoming year (fall 2026). Hafsah enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds and is always happy to talk with students about academics, pre-health pathways, research opportunities, and adjusting to college life.

Alyson Chavez Valdivieso (she/her) was born and raised in Ecuador until she was 13 years old, when she moved to New Jersey. She is currently pursuing a double major in International and Global Studies and Business. As a member of the 2028 class, Alyson is deeply committed to advocacy, research, and expanding access to inclusive resources within her community. She served as a 2025-2026 ENACT Research and Advocacy fellow, where she conducted participatory research on menstrual management on campus. Her work connects directly to her involvement with Period Activists at ‘Deis (PAD), where she advocates for menstrual equity and policy change. Alyson is involved in Language and Cultural Enrichment (LaCE), supporting English learners—an issue close to her as a former English learner herself. She hopes to one day become an attorney and continue to advocate for those who face systemic barriers and inequities. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, reading, and baking. Saaya (she/her) is a senior from Holden, MA majoring in neuroscience with minors in journalism and Hispanic Studies. An aspiring journalist, she is a staff writer for The Justice, a UDR for the journalism department, and a Gilmore Girls lover. She is also a program coordinator for TAPS (Teaching Assistants in Public Schools), a member of the UTC e-board, and on the club soccer team. She studied abroad in Amman, Jordan in Spring 2026 and loves exploring new places, reading, dancing, and is an avid foodie. She is happy to chat about study abroad, course planning, work-life balance, or anything else!

Ardelia Doyle (she/her) is a senior from Newton, Massachusetts majoring in English, History, and French and Francophone Studies. Outside of her role as a Roosevelt Fellow, she plays volleyball, volunteers with Prospect Hill Kids' Club, researches for her thesis, and works as a TA for Fundamentals of Environmental Challenges. She has studied abroad in England, Italy, and France, and loves to travel. In her free time, Ardelia plays guitar, reads, does cross-stitch, and goes to concerts (she has been to nearly 100!). She is always happy to talk about studying the humanities, taking advantage of campus activities, volunteering, fun things to do in Boston, or anything about life at Brandeis!

Jae Fioribello (They/Them) is a second-year student from the New York City Metropolitan Area. They are majoring in Theater Arts, and Film, Television, and Interactive Media, and Creative Writing while also minoring in Creativity, the Arts, and Social Transformation (CAST) and English. Jae is involved in copious amounts of theater on the Brandeis campus, appearing as Rizzo in the UTC’s 24 Hour production of “Grease”, and as Barry in Freeplay Theater Cooperative’s production of “How Was Your Day, Tom?”. Jae directed FreePlay's production of Fun Home (a workshop), directed and choreographed the UTC production of "Alice by Heart," and assistant-directed the Brandeis Theater Department's production of "The Baltimore Waltz". In addition to these productions, Jae is also a writer, actor, director, choreographer, archivists and social media coordinator for Boris’ Kitchen Sketch Comedy Club. Jae is an Undergraduate Department Representative for both the Theater Department and the CAST Department at Brandeis. Jae has worked with Central Square Theater in Cambridge, MA, on developing their 2025-26 touring season, focusing on empowering youth and young women. Jae hopes to continue pursuing social justice through theater and is so grateful for the opportunities Brandeis University offers them in this field.

Elizabeth (she/her) is a senior originally from Ellsworth, Maine, a small town in the Downeast region near Acadia National Park. She is majoring in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Health: Science, Society, and Policy with a minor in Sexuality and Queer Studies and Sociology. She is also part of COMPACT's Community Engaged Scholars Program. She is a queer, low-income student and a recipient of the MLK Jr. Fellowship, the Giumette Academic Award, and the Truman Scholarship. Elizabeth is on the executive boards for MAD Band and Top Score. She is also a General Tutoring coordinator for Waltham Group. She works as a peer mentor for the Samuels Scholars Program at COMPACT, helping students engage more with community engagement opportunities at Brandeis and beyond. Her academic interests center around rural public health issues, particularly maternal health disparities and health inaccessibility. In her free time, she is often listening to or playing music, crocheting, watching TV and movies, or getting a coffee at the campus Dunkin'. Nathaniel (he/him) is a senior from New York City, New York. He is double-majoring in Biology and HSSP with a minor in Economics. Aside from being a Roosevelt Fellow, Nathaniel is one of the Undergraduate Representatives for the HSSP major, along with working as an Admissions Fellow, Trivia Host, and the Advocacy lead for Brandeis' Partners in Health Engage chapter. Outside of school, Nathaniel enjoys weightlifting, music, and exploring the east coast with friends. Whether its about academics, life at Brandeis, or one's personal interests, Nathaniel is always thrilled to connect with students over email, on zoom, or in person!

Zara is a junior from New York City. She is a Biology major with a HSSP minor. On campus, she is a part of the posse program, galaxy program and identifies as a woman of color. She is the vice-president for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year for the Muslim Student Association. She also serves as a General Chemistry Lab teaching assistant and looks forward to being a Rosie! She is always open to learning more about other students interests and is a great resource for questions about being pre-med at Brandeis.

Zareena Mann (she/her) is a member of the Class of 2027 at Brandeis University, majoring in Psychology with minors in Economics and Business. She is from San Ramon, California. On campus, Zareena is a member of the Varsity Women’s Soccer team, where she has earned UAA All-Academic honors and All-UAA Honorable Mention recognition. She also serves as President of Student-Athletes of Color (SAOC), works as an Intramural Sports Supervisor, and is a Teaching Assistant for Organizational Behavior with Professor Molinsky. In Spring 2026, she studied abroad in Madrid through the IES Abroad program. Zareena is interested in the intersection of business, law, and public policy and is currently exploring a career in law. She enjoys learning and speaking Spanish and connecting with different cultures. She is always happy to talk about balancing academics and extracurriculars, studying abroad, internships, or career paths in business and law. Outside of school, she enjoys playing basketball, going on long walks, exploring new places, and her favorite artist is Bad Bunny. Shikha Patel (she/her) is a Junior from Old Saybrook, Connecticut, double majoring in Neuroscience and Biology. In addition to being a Roosevelt Fellow, she is a QBReC (Quantitative Biology Research Community) Fellow. On campus, she serves as the President of BEWISE (Brandeis Encourages Women in Science and Engineering), the Events Coordinator for SASA (South Asian Students Association), and the Treasurer of Active Minds. Outside of academics, she volunteers with Prospect Hill Kids Club, where she mentors students from kindergarten through 8th grade. She also studied abroad in Mérida, Mexico, where she explored public health issues and healthcare systems in the Yucatán Peninsula. Shikha is very passionate about helping students adjust to Brandeis and find their place on campus. She would love to talk about course planning, study abroad opportunities, volunteering, finding community, or discovering new places around campus! You can often find her going on long walks, watching true crime documentaries, or studying in Mandel. She's also always down to chat about travel, movies, or her favorite quiet spots on campus. Rebecca (she/her) is a senior from New Rochelle, NY, majoring in Health: Science, Society, and Policy and Environmental Studies. On campus, she is the president of Students for Environmental Action, the Environmental Studies Undergraduate Departmental Representative (UDR), and a writer for the undergraduate law journal. Outside of class, she teaches at a local Hebrew school on weekends and can be found out and about in Boston. After Brandeis, she intends to pursue a master’s in environmental health and continue visiting Boston regularly. Amelia White (she/her) is a senior from Sarasota, Florida, double majoring in Neuroscience and Psychology. In addition to being a Roosevelt Fellow, Amelia is Neuroscience UDR. She is also an undergraduate research assistant in the CAARD Lab, and is passionate about making research accessible and engaging.

Additionally on campus, Amelia is a tutor through the Waltham Group’s General Tutoring Program. She’s especially interested in supporting students navigating college and loves talking about study strategies, time management, and research opportunities. When she’s not studying, you can find her baking, listening to music, or exploring the outdoors.
