Registering for Classes
We know you have many questions about what you should do over the summer as you get ready to come to Brandeis. Below find some helpful hints on preparing for course registration.
Registration Activities
- Review your Enrollment Checklist in Workday.

Complete the online writing assessment in May (for students starting in the fall semester)
- Complete the online math assessment.
- Get familiar with Workday Student (this is where you can find available courses and will actually register for them).
- Read "Advising & Course Registration: A Guide for First Year Students" (visit our main site for new students for PDF versions and accessible text versions of this guide).
- Sign up for advising webinar and sessions if needed.
- Take a placement test if you are not sure what level of a course to place yourself in (encouraged but not required).
- Review the "Exploring and Declaring Majors" page on our website.
