Timeline for the 2026-2027 Cycle

This timeline details the processes involved in applying to medical, dental, optometry, PA, and podiatry programs. If your interest is in another program, contact pha@brandeis.edu  to discuss the details and deadlines.

• Attend an Intro to the Application Cycle webinar
• Complete Self Assessment Forms
• Attend a Self Assessment Meeting with Andrew Simmons
• Request Letters of Recommendation
• Dossier opens up on December 1st

• Begin drafting personal statement and other essays for your dossier

• Last self assessment meetings held by January 16th
• Final Dossier submitted by January 26th  ** Deadline extended until January 27th **

• Interviews begin on February 2nd 

• Letters of recommendation due by April 15th
• Final interviews concluded by April 24th
• Application launch webinar on April 23rd

In this webinar, we'll give an overview of the primary and secondary applications, submitting your letter or letter packets, Casper and Preview, interviews, decisions, and how financial aid works. We'll also go over the full-year timeline of when all of these things happen and how to get help throughout the journey. The presentation will include Brandeis applicants who are finishing the 2026 process--they'll share their experience and answer questions you might have.

All 2027 applicants have received an invitation to attend this webinar. If you did not receive an invitation, please email PHA@brandeis.edu.

In this webinar, we'll explore ways to understand medical schools beyond the numbers. While med schools look very similar at first glance, they all have their unique elements. These include mission and values, special programs, curricular features, and more. We'll help you develop an approach to researching the various med schools and build a list that puts you in the best position for interview invitations. All medical school applicants are encouraged to attend.

All applicants for 2028 admission to medical school are strongly encouraged to attend.
