About Web Accessibility
Brandeis University is committed to providing information on the web that is available to all people, regardless of physical or developmental abilities or impairments. With that in mind, we have developed tools and resources to help you make your web content accessible.
All CMS editors are required to complete Web Accessibility Training.
Getting Started
While creating digital content, we ask that you follow accessibility standards:
- Structure pages with properly nested headings and sub-heads
- Provide alt text for all images
- Link descriptive words or phrases
- Provide captions and transcripts for audio and video recordings
Please Note: Accessibility standards apply to all web content, including documents and/or media you upload or link to on your site (MSWord, PDF, etc.).
