Short/Go URLs
URLs on the Brandeis website can get lengthy. If you would like a shorter URL for a print or web campaign, the web team can create a vanity URL using our “Go” structure.
For example, when the new Copenhagen Study Abroad program was started, their staff wanted a shorter URL to help promote it, so we created:
https://go.brandeis.edu/copenhagen which redirects to:
https://www.brandeis.edu/abroad/brandeis-programs/copenhagen/index.html
Request a Brandeis Go URL
Send a request to cmshelp@brandeis.edu and we'll create a shorter, personalized Go URL for your webpage that you can use in your communications. This short URL will automatically redirect visitors to the full address. Please keep in mind that in order to support this service for numerous sites we must maintain some guidelines.
Guidelines for Go URLs
- Your web page address must begin with https://www.brandeis.edu
- The requested vanity URL must begin with https://go.brandeis.edu
- Vanity URL requests must include keywords that directly relate to the page content. For example, https://go.brandeis.edu/enactfacultyfellowapply redirects to application information for the ENACT Fellowship (full URL: https://www.brandeis.edu/enact/fellowship-application/index.html)
