Why did you originally choose to study abroad in Copenhagen? I chose to study abroad because I was eager to explore the world beyond the classroom. I chose DIS because of its variety of experiential learning opportunities and expansive course selection.

What have you been up to since graduation? Since graduating, I have been working, preparing to apply to law school and traveling.

What lessons or skills did you learn from studying abroad that you still think about today or still impact you today on your current path? When I chose to study abroad, I took a giant leap outside of my comfort zone. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Studying and traveling abroad during that semester encouraged me to do the same after the program was over and to seek challenge and opportunity wherever possible.

One memory from abroad that still feels like it happened yesterday: One of my favorite parts about studying in Copenhagen was the cycling culture. For me, the best way to get to know a city is to get lost in it, and that’s exactly what I did on my bike. One day I decided that I would seek out the best ice cream in Copenhagen. Ten miles later and a few detours, I found it.

Your message to students thinking about studying abroad: Just go for it!

“I chose to study abroad because I was eager to explore the world beyond the classroom. I chose DIS because of its variety of experiential learning opportunities and expansive course selection.”
