About Brandeis University

Brandeis was founded in 1948 and is located in Waltham, Massachusetts, approximately 25 kilometers outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Nineteen percent of Brandeis' 3,591 undergraduates are international students.

Exchange Eligibility
- Be an enrolled student at a partner exchange institution as a candidate for a university-level degree.
- Students must have studied for at least one year at their home institution.
- Students who are not completing their degree in English must demonstrate one of the following qualifications of English proficiency:
- IELTS: Minimum score of 7; students with a score of 6.5-7.0 may be nominated but will be asked to conduct an interview
- TOEFL (new scoring rubric): Minimum score of 5; students with a score of 4.5-5.0 may be nominated but will be asked to conduct an interview
- TOEFL (old scoring rubric): Minimum score of 90
- CEFR testing: C1 or C2 level
- Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 125
- All applicants are required to secure the approval and nomination of their International Office before applying to Brandeis University through the Exchange Program.
- At least 3.0 GPA.
