Timeline for Researching and Applying for Brandeis Study Abroad Approval
During Sophomore year (going abroad as a junior) or during Junior Year (going abroad a fall semester senior)

Apply and Research Scholarships

Brandeis decisions released

Receive admission decisions by study abroad program

Confirm with Brandeis intention to study abroad in fall/academic year

Attend Brandeis Pre-Departure Workshops (mandatory)

Pay program deposits

Apply for visas if necessary

Complete program materials and preparation

First fall programs start in late June/early July

Brandeis and Program bills sent out in July

Depart for programs, transition, attend orientation, submit course confirmation form to Office of Study Abroad

Fall – Complete Abroad101.com evaluation, Experiential Learning Questionnaire (if applicable), and have Official Transcript sent to Office of Study Abroad

Fall - Transfer of credit completed - upon receipt of official transcript, online evaluation, and Experiential Learning Questionnaire

Fall - Students able to submit Online Petition to Request Substitution for a Requirement for major/minor requirements or General University Requirements for classes from abroad.
