Profile: Sagar Punjabi '21
Major/minor: Computer Science
Year abroad: Spring 2020
Study Abroad Program: AIT Budapest
Reason you chose this program: It was the only study abroad program that offered a lot of computer science classes that I would be able to transfer over as credits.
Favorite classes: My favorite class was Mobile App Development.
How did you incorporate your Brandeis areas of study into your abroad experience? I took classes that would show me different areas of my major, so I could explore what might interest me in computer science.
Housing situation: I lived in an apartment with three other people.
Best memory: My favorite memories are me exploring the city at night. Budapest is so beautiful at night.
Greatest challenge: It was tough to figure out the work/social life balance.
What you know now that you didn’t know before: I've learned a lot on my trip. I learned about cooking, computer science, music, Hungary, Europe, etc. There are so many fields of life where I have gained experience in.
Fact about Hungary that you think people would be surprised to learn: The democracy there is fading. It is almost a dictatorship, according to the locals.
